I have been a classroom English teacher in both high school and middle school for 25 years. I earned a 4.0 GPA for both my masters and specialist programs at University of Georgia. I have taught American literature, British literature, world literature, and grammar and composition. I have also taught SAT preparatory classes, elementary Spanish classes, a study skills class, and reading classes. I have certifications in ESOL, Reading, and Gifted education, and have Advanced Placement certification in both language and literature. I was teacher of the year in 2007 and currently serve as department chair at my high school. I have tutored privately as well.
