Experience
I am a tutor who likes to guide students through the process of breaking down a problem. I believe that asking the proper questions about a subject will help the student become more proficient in figuring problems out themselves. I also like to make my students feel more comfortable when taking tests by preparing them for how the tests are typically set up, so the student will be ready to "play the game," so to speak. I am currently working toward obtaining my master's degree in secondary mathematics. Though my focus will be in math, I have a fondness for literature and science as well. For the past two years, I have worked in a middle school as a paraprofessional. I also spent time as a tutor when I was in college, helping others to study both writing and Greek. I can help students in math, science, history, business, and writing and editing skills. I can also be of assistance to students preparing for the SAT and ACT. I am more than willing to tutor students during the summer as well as during the school year.When I am not working with students, you can find me following Manchester United soccer, reading, and working on creative writing projects.
